Walking sticks, Tutus, and Chores

I don't have many pictures to post this time, but I thought I'd give a little written update as well, for a change. I'm 31 weeks pregnant today. I would have had an updated belly picture, but our camera batteries died right as we were taking it. It's safe to say my belly is getting rather rotund. I've had a lot more hip pain with this pregnancy, compared to my pregnancy with Sarah. I'm not sure why that is, but often by the end of the day I feel like I'm about 90 when I walk upstairs to bed. I don't think I ever had sciatic(sp?) nerve pain with Sarah, but maybe that's what it is....who knows. Anyway, other than that and tiredness, I'm feeling pretty good. I've had spurts of "nesting" but most of my time in the day is spent doing stuff with Sarah.
She is getting to be such a big girl now. We've started thinking more about potty training lately. I don't think she's quite ready, but hopefully it won't be too long before she'll want to go on the potty more. Another new thing this week is we have her put her blanky and dummy(pacifier) in her bed in the morning and not have it throughout the day. The first couple of days she did great, but when she realized what was going on, I think she started going through withdrawals. She's doing pretty well, though, and still has them at night (and probably will for some time).
Sarah has become more and more, Mommy's little helper. I try to do more with her in the day, and we usually always try to get outside, rain or shine. She loves to do the dishes, help with the cooking, and she's a good little laundry helper too. I have to be prepared for the mess, but it's worth it for her to learn.
Another new development is her fashion sense. She usually always likes to have a hat on when we're outside, especially when it's rainy or "winny"(windy).  Sunday she discovered he pink tutu that her aunts gave her for her birthday. We let her where it to church in the evening, and she absolutely loved it...obsessed might be a better word. When we were standing to sing the hymns, she wouldn't let Daddy  hold his arms around her because it was hiding her precious tutu. Yesterday, she insisted on wearing it again. She wore it over her big jeans and even got it soaked helping me wash the car. Today, she was throwing a fit while I was putting her jeans on and it wasn't until she went in to her room to look for her tutu where it usually hangs, that I realized that's why she didn't want me to put her jeans on. It's so cute to see her developing and her imagination growing. My mom and sister, Jenni, will know what I mean, though, when I say, "We might have a purple jumpsuit scenario on our hands." :o)

Going for a walk with Mommy in the woods.

A friend from work brought her little baby, Ashley, over for us to meet her. Sarah loved her, as you can tell. Hoping this is a good sign for baby brother on the way.

Oh yes, another recent development is Sarah hasn't been taking naps in the day anymore. One side effect of it is absolute exhaustion by the end of the day. Rhodri was reading her some books before she went to bed and they both ended up falling asleep.

This is the favorite pink tutu. Helping Mommy do the dishes as well as causing a minor flood in the kitchen :o). Good for developing patience.

Before, During, and After Christmas

These were our Christmas pictures, as some of you would have seen. Unfortunately, we couldn't send them to everyone. At least everyone can see them on here. Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas, and are looking forward to what 2012 has in store.

As you'll see from the pictures, our baby boy is rapidly expanding my tummy and my little tidy bump (as seen below) is becoming huge!! At least that's how I feel. I'm 29 weeks pregnant today and the countdown to 40 weeks seems to be going very quickly. Hope you can share in pictures the joys of our last 3 weeks or so.

Belly check at about 27 weeks.
