Well, I started an update this morning, and it's taken me all day to try and finish it! I didn't want to just put the pictures up and not write anything. There's so many things that I don't want to forget about our little Sary Berry. She had her first birthday on Tuesday which is crazy. Have we really had her a year? In some ways it feels like she's always been here, but in other ways it feels like it was just yesterday when she was a newborn.
Sarah's birthday has kind of been a week long one. It started with opening her present from Nanny and Grandpa when they were here last weekend and ended with her little birthday party on Saturday. Her actual birthday was on Tuesday so she opened her presents from us then, and had a little birthday cake.
Sarah stood up for the first time without pulling herself up on something. She usually tries to do it now, holding one of her heavy toys and doesn't always manage to do it :o). She hasn't shown any more real signs of walking yet, but one of these days, I think it will just click.
She's learning a couple signs better now. She knows "more," "milk," "all done"(a bit rusty on that one), and I started teaching her "please" now. She says "hi" usually only when it's associated with the phone. It's so cute, she picks up pretty much anything that looks remotely like a phone and puts it up to her ear(i.e. ipods, baby monitor, remote, etc.). She still absolutely loves music and will start to dance or bob her head when she hears it. As you'll see from the amount of pictures of her with it, she loves her new walker toy from Nanny and Grandpa. She uses it to get from our living room all the way through the house till she gets to the bathroom stairs. She gets a little frustrated when she has to manoeuvre it over a few baseboards on her way :o). Now, pretty much any time she goes in her high chair, even if it's just for a snack, she bows her head and puts her hands together so we can pray. We make sure to pray even if it's just for a snack because she's ready :o). It's so precious. I tried to get a picture of her doing it, but she immediately knew something smelled fishy!

She adopted our new recycle bin(garbage can). I've let her play with it until we need to start using it, then it will go outside. It's just her size.

We let her try popcorn all by herself. I usually just give her the really soft parts, but she did fine and didn't choke. She loved it and was so happy that we were actually letting her do it herself!
Aunt Jenni made this darling dress for Sarah for her birthday.
It was a perfect party dress for Saturday!
