Autumn and Baby Shower

Hello everyone! We went for a nice walk Saturday afternoon to enjoy all the fall colors. Thought we'd share a few pictures. It's been so nice having Saturdays off now that I've finished work.
I love this time of year!

My friend Ronda planned a surprise baby shower for me Saturday evening. They don't usually have a baby shower for mother's-to-be here, but she wanted to do one because it's something we would usually do. She planned everything so well and we had so much fun. We've decided we want to make it a tradition now at our church :o).

She bought these onesies(sp?) for us to paint for the baby.
We made a stencil to iron on the t-shirts and then painted them and pealed the stencil off.

Pictures from the last couple of weeks

I'm sorry it's been awhile since we updated our blog, I've been meaning to, but life is busy! I thought I would just upload a few pictures of the last couple of weeks. I'm sorry it's not very exciting!
This sports field isn't very far from our house and it's a nice quiet place to go and sit on the grass. It's was a really nice Sunday afternoon, so we thought we'd enjoy the sunshine.

Our Little baby girl

I had my 32 week ultrasound yesterday because they needed to check and make sure that the low placenta had moved enough out of the way to be able to have a natural birth. Thankfully it has and the baby is head down. She's nice and healthy and all of my tests have come back perfect. We're so thankful to the Lord! Our little girl weighs about 4 pounds something and has long legs and a small belly like her daddy. We got a good look at her face and I think she has Chris's nose and big lips. So far, she's a mini Chris :o).

....She has her hand right up to her face, probably sucking her thumb....

Barn Dance

Hello everyone. I thought I would quickly post a few pictures of our friends 40th birthday, barn dance. It was last Saturday evening, and even though we were both really tired from a busy week, we had lots of fun! We didn't really get any good pictures, but I'll post them anyway.

The Iliff's visit

The Iliffs were here last week and they got to stay for 10 days. Even though it was a full house, it was great to have them here, and we were sorry to see them go. While they were here, they re-did our bathroom which desperately needed to be done and helped clean up our little back yard. We got a few pictures here and there, but I wish we had taken some before and after. Our bathroom was covered in mold from ceiling to floor because of all the damp and bad airflow. They cleaned it all and painted it with an anti-mold paint, so we hope that will solve the problem. They also put in our new floor as well.

In between work, we managed to have a few fun outings and enjoy the sunshine. Unfortunately Chris and I still had to work, but we were able to spend as much time with them as possible. Thankfully they were very understanding.

Of course Chris managed to persuade his dad to go golfing with him....I think the look on his dad's face tells how much he liked it.

We all got to go out for breakfast on their last day here as a thankyou for all the work they
did for us.

28 week baby update

I had my 28 week appointment on Friday and everything is going well with the pregnancy. They took a routine blood test just to make sure everything is fine. I'm measuring right within what I'm supposed to even though I feel huge :0). The midwife also felt the baby's head and listened to her heart beat. So far, I've only seen a midwife for my appointments and not a doctor yet. All the midwifes have been really nice and it feels like they really care about you and the baby. We're so thankful to the Lord that there hasn't been any complications with the pregnancy so far.

We just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to my brother and new sister-in-law on their wedding! If only we could have been there ): From the few pictures that we've seen it looks like it was a gorgeous wedding. We can't wait to see more pictures and the video! Hope you guys have a wonderful honeymoon as we know you will! I'm sure you won't even see this until you get back...

Jenni and Merv's visit

Jenni and Merv were able to come for a week as a late birthday present for Jen. They left last Thursday. We had a wonderful time together and were able to make some fun memories. It was great to be able to spend time with my sis being pregnant! I'm so glad we were able to get some great pictures of us being fat together :o).
The next few pictures are of our little drive to Aberaeron, a town not too far from Aberystwyth.

On our way home the boys had to make sure we stopped at a driving range so they could get some practice for their golfing excursions in the coming week!
Jenni and I had fun trying it out, too.

At the end of a long day, we sat down together and watched some pregnancy videos while the boys played x-box.

We had a really nice Sunday together with Gerwyn and Ronda and their girls. We joined our meals together at their house. In the afternoon we went for a nice walk at a place not far from where they live.

I had never played golf before in my life, but it was something both Jen and I could do, and Merv and Chris took every chance they could get to play. Although it was a little frustrating because I couldn't do it very well, it was still really fun, and we all had a great time.

We also went to a place called Aberdovey. It was a long drive to get there and there wasn't much to do once we were there, but it was a nice trip for the day.
Merv and Jen weren't very impressed with the size and price of a scoop of ice cream.

We insisted on putting our feet in the water even though Merv and Chris would happily have headed back home. I guess it's our California blood :o). The water was freezing!

Once we got back from Aberdovey, we got ready and went out to eat at nice place called the Halfway Inn.

The last evening they were here, we decided to go play another game of golf...a mini tournament. It was the Iliff's versus the Campbell's. I don't want to brag, but we won! It was a close game, though and we all had a great time.
